  • Review: The new Reebok A.i 9 hockey stick is the top of the line Reebok stick on the market at this time.  It is replacing the Reebok 11K hockey stick.  Reebok really stepped up there game with this stick. The A.i 9 is 10 grams lighter than the 11K and the A.i 9 is a true one-piece stick unlike the 11K.  The 11K has the appearance of being a one-piece stick, but it really is not.  Another cool feature about the A.i 9 is that it has a 2:1 Taper Ratio.  What this basically means is that one side of the stick is more durable than the other which gives the shooter that "snap" that they really want (it also makes the stick very durable).  I also really like the design of the stick considering Reebok usually does not change there design that often.

    1. The AI line is not replacing the sickick K line. Reebok will continue to make the 11k as well as the AI 9 for 2012. The two lines are just marketed differently and contain different features. For example, new AI line features a mid-kick point focused on power generation and improving slapshots. However, the k line has a low kick point called sickick lll technology designed for improving quick release shots. So the new AI line just gives players an option to use a quality mid-kick stick.

Also I think you might be wrong about the weight differences. I believe that the 11k is actually lighter than the AI 9. The 9k is lighter than the similarly priced AI 7 -suggesting that the AI line is a bit heavier. Though the difference is minimal and a better balanced stick is more important than weight anyway.
